Earl Ford

Executive Director

Earl Ford

Earl Ford is the Executive Director of the PNWCM, as well as one of the founding members. Mr. Ford was born in Louisiana and went onto major in Forestry at Tuskegee HBCU. Mr. Ford would go on to receive his Masters in Public Administration and excel in a 30 year plus career with the Forest Service; serving across the nation as far as Puerto Rico, and as Human Resource supervisor at the Gifford Pinchot Headquarters here in Vancouver, WA. Mr. Ford completed his civil service as the Supervisor of the Plumas National Forest in Quincy, CA.

Members of the USDA chartered the PNWCM to stand as a body of citizens for equity and justice for minorities in the federal government. We believe that the federal government workforce should reflect the diverse citizens it serves, as we all pay tax dollars and the forest is our public lands. The PNWCM sought to litigate discrimination suits due to unjust treatment of minorities. Furthermore, the coalition began the Urban Youth Employment program in partnership with the City and Forest Service to introduce diverse youth to our federal service.

Mr. Ford has also served many years as the President of the Vancouver branch NAACP. He is the father to civil rights attorney Yaida Ford, and he has mentored thousands of youth right here in this community. Mr. Ford without a doubt leads a legacy of caring for the land and serving people.
